Your Mission as a Supply Chain Officer
As a Supply Chain Officer, you will be responsible for optimizing the supply chain process from procurement to delivery. You will ensure smooth order management, inventory tracking, and supplier coordination to maintain operational efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to minimizing supply risks, improving lead times, and fostering strong supplier relationships.
You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as a Supply Chain Officer
- Plan and manage delivery schedules to ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Monitor supplier inventory to meet ongoing demand.
- Track and oversee shipments from procurement to final delivery.
- Optimize inventory levels using just-in-time principles to reduce costs.
- Negotiate with vendors for favorable terms and pricing.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing and timely deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and customs regulations.
- Develop and refine procurement policies to improve supply chain efficiency.
- Generate reports and conduct audits to track inventory, expenses, and supplier performance.
Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as a Supply Chain Officer
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for supplier and stakeholder coordination.
- Understanding of just-in-time inventory principles and cost optimization strategies.
- Knowledge of customs regulations, shipping logistics, and compliance standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of the oil and gas sector, with a focus on supplier management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
