Your Mission as the Head of Information Technology

The Head of Information Technology will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to the department, ensuring the development and delivery of high-quality, industry-relevant programs. This role requires visionary leadership to enhance curriculum design, drive faculty excellence, and strengthen partnerships with the industry. The dean will play a pivotal role in fostering an innovative and inclusive learning environment, aligned with the university’s mission of equipping students with real-world skills.

You Will Be Handling These Duties and Responsibilities as the Head of Information Technology

• - Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of academic programs in Information Technology.
• - Ensure curriculum alignment with industry needs, integrating emerging technologies and applied learning methodologies.
• - Lead and support faculty in research, teaching excellence, and professional development.
• - Develop and manage the department’s budget, resources, and personnel to maintain operational efficiency.
• - Establish strong industry collaborations to enhance student internships, research, and job placement opportunities.
• - Maintain academic accreditation and quality assurance standards.
• - Promote a culture of innovation, adaptability, and continuous learning within the department.
• - Represent the university at national and international conferences, industry events, and academic forums.

Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as the Head of Information Technology

• - A Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. (Ph.D. or Master’s degree Degrees can be substituted with robust experience)
• - At least 5 years of leadership experience in academia or industry.
• - Strong expertise in digital transformation, emerging technologies, and applied learning methodologies.
• - Proven ability to develop strategic partnerships and foster academic-industry collaboration (is a plus).
• - Experience in curriculum development, accreditation processes, and faculty management (is a plus).
• - Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• - A commitment to student success, academic excellence, and technological innovation.
• - Fluency in both English and Arabic.

Additional Information

• Working Days & Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 9 am - 5 pm.
