Your Mission as a QHSE Engineer
As a QHSE engineer , your mission is to champion a culture of quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance across all operational areas. You will lead the implementation of ISO standards, conduct audits, mitigate risks, and ensure that all safety protocols are strictly followed. Your role is essential in shaping a safe, efficient, and regulatory-compliant work environment.
You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as a QHSE Engineer
- Develop and monitor ISO 9001 quality management systems aligned with industry best practices.
- Maintain ISO certification documentation and oversee regular internal audits.
- Draft and revise procedures, forms, and policies to meet regulatory standards.
- Keep accurate records of inspections, incident reports, and audit outcomes.
- Ensure effective execution of safety programs and compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform regular safety inspections and address identified hazards.
- Intervene during high-risk operations and enforce proper use of PPE.
- Lead investigations of incidents and develop preventive solutions.
- Coordinate emergency response and fire safety initiatives.
- Design and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and safety inductions.
- Conduct emergency drills and build crisis preparedness among staff.
- Develop engaging and informative safety training materials.
- Offer technical guidance on risk and compliance issues.
- Analyze IVMS data to improve driving behavior and vehicle safety.
- Prepare monthly performance reports on QHSE metrics and incident trends.
- Assist in operational risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.
- Stay updated with evolving regulations and propose policy enhancements.
Qualifications and Skills That Will Allow You to Thrive as a QHSE Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in HSE, Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in occupational health and safety, ideally in oil & gas.
- Proficient in ISO 9001 standards and risk assessment techniques.
- Skilled in conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Bilingual in Arabic and English is preferred.
