Your Mission as a PF QAQC Piping Inspector
As a QAQC Piping Inspector, your primary mission is to ensure that all piping installation and inspection activities on-site align strictly with the quality standards, regulatory requirements, and the Project Quality Plan. You will play a pivotal role in verifying mechanical integrity, especially for static and rotating equipment, to safeguard the quality and compliance of Oil & Gas infrastructure throughout the construction phase.
You Will Be Handling These Duties and Responsibilities as a PF QAQC Piping Inspector
- Monitor and verify quality procedures related to piping works across the site.
- Oversee fabrication, installation, and integration of piping systems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and project specifications.
- Review and approve contractor Quality documents including ITPs and method statements.
- Perform stage-wise and final inspections, including ITR, mechanical walkdowns, and punch list management.
- Ensure timely inspections, accurate documentation, and closure of Non-Conformances (NCRs).
- Witness welding qualification tests, NDE inspections, and FAT/SAT for mechanical packages.
- Interface with clients and subcontractors for inspection and quality-related coordination.
- Conduct independent audits to assess compliance with QA/QC procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Support the site team with quality clarifications and provide technical guidance as needed.
- Ensure proper documentation, including MRBs and test certifications, is collected and validated.
Qualifications and Skills That Will Allow You to Thrive as a PF QAQC Piping Inspector
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in piping inspection, preferably within the Oil & Gas or EPCC industry.
- Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Strong working knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME Sec VIII, IX, V, and AWS D1.1.
- Certifications: ASNT SNTC Level II (UT, RT, PT, MPT), CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector, and NACE Level-II or BGAS preferred.
- ISO 9001 auditing experience and familiarity with ATEX compliance.
- Skilled in reading technical drawings and interpreting inspection results.
