Your Mission as a Procurement Officer
As a Procurement Officer, your mission is to manage the procurement strategy to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services essential for our operations. Your role will be key in optimising our supply chain efficiency and maintaining cost-effectiveness across our projects.
You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as a Procurement Officer
- - Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- - Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- - Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with operations to forecast demand.
- - Assess, manage, and mitigate risks related to procurement activities.
- - Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets and cost forecasts.
- - Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- - Maintain and update procurement records and vendor databases.
Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as a Procurement Officer
- - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, chemistry, or an oil and gas-related field.
- - Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
- - Strong negotiation and networking skills.
- - Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- - Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with keen attention to detail.
