Your Mission as an Operating Systems Lecturer
As an Operating Systems Lecturer, your mission will be to engage learners in a dynamic, interactive teaching environment where they develop a strong foundation in OS architecture, management, and security. You will guide students through the complexities of Windows, Linux, and macOS environments, equipping them with the technical and analytical skills needed to succeed in the software industry.
You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as an Operating Systems Lecturer
- Deliver weekly in-person lectures (1 session/week, 4 PM – 7 PM) at Ghut Asha’al.
- Design and teach curriculum aligned with modern OS technologies and industry standards.
- Teach core topics: OS architecture, command line scripting, system installation/configuration.
- Demonstrate and guide on OS security, virtualization, and multi-user systems.
- Mentor students with a hands-on learning approach to foster real-world application.
- Assess student performance, provide feedback, and maintain engagement.
- Foster a learning environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving.
Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as an Operating Systems Lecturer
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching or professional experience.
- Strong command of the English language.
- Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining OS (Windows, Linux, macOS).
- Solid understanding of OS architecture, scripting, virtualization, and security.
- Teaching & communication skills, mentorship mindset, and hands-on training style.
- Familiarity with Pearson BTEC educational frameworks. (is a plus)
- Strong mentorship and coaching skills to support student growth.
- Experience integrating real-world projects into coursework. (is a plus)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
