Your Mission as a Trencher Operator Assistant
As a Trencher Operator Assistant, your mission is to support the trencher operator and construction crews by preparing work areas, handling equipment, and ensuring safe excavation practices. Your role is essential in maintaining workflow, protecting underground assets, and keeping operations efficient and hazard-free.
You Will Be Handling These Duties and Responsibilities as a Trencher Operator Assistant
Assist in setting up trenching equipment and preparing the worksite.
Perform manual tasks such as digging, backfilling, and soil compaction.
Load, transport, and organize tools and construction materials at the site.
Support the operator and utility locators in identifying and marking underground utility lines.
Conduct safety checks and assist with daily maintenance of tools and machinery.
Follow instructions from the trencher operator and site supervisors to ensure safe, coordinated task execution.
Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment at all times.
Qualifications and Skills That Will Allow You to Thrive as a Trencher Operator Assistant
Minimum age: 25 years.
Middle-level education completed.
Valid Heavy Truck Driver license.
At least 5 years of experience in trenching support or similar fieldwork.
Physically fit and capable of performing demanding labor outdoors.
Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment safety procedures.
Ability to work in a team and follow instructions closely.
Understanding the importance of utility markings and safe digging practices.

Job Type: Full-time, on-site across various Roads & Bridges projects.
