Your Mission as a Drilling Engineer:
As a Drilling Engineer, your mission is to ensure robust well engineering and operations support across one or more rigs or well sites. You will be pivotal in developing and delivering optimized well designs, supporting real-time operations, and driving continuous improvement in service delivery, risk management, and well performance. You will also contribute to project planning, execution, and post-operation evaluation to ensure technical excellence and efficiency.
You Will Be Handling These Duties and Responsibilities as a Drilling Engineer:
Develop and deliver technical well designs, including Well Proposals, Basis of Designs, and Well Programs (Drilling, Completion, Workover).
Prepare detailed well schedules, project budgets, and End of Well Reports.
Provide technical and operational support throughout project execution.
Perform duties aligned with the Well Engineer Training Program as Assistant Well Site Leader.
Participate in incident response, recovery, and investigations.
Support multi-Product Line (PL) operations through collaborative, optimized designs.
Apply new technologies to improve performance and efficiency.
Analyze execution vs. design, capturing lessons learned and driving optimization.
Contribute to service company and equipment evaluation and selection.
Participate in Hazard Analysis and Risk Control (HARC) and other assessments.
Forecast medium- and long-term needs; adjust plans proactively.
Monitor daily operations and recommend technology-driven improvements.
Evaluate performance of service companies and contractors.
Conduct engineering studies to resolve recurring well issues and enhance performance.
Attend critical operations at the wellsite when necessary.
Qualifications and Skills That Will Allow You to Thrive as a Drilling Engineer:
Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in well engineering, drilling operations, and technical support.
Strong understanding of well design, planning, and risk management.
Experience with incident response and root cause analysis.
Proficiency in analyzing well data and applying lessons learned.
Effective communicator with ability to coordinate across teams and stakeholders.
Skilled in project planning, budgeting, and contractor management.
Commitment to safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
