Your Mission as a Procurement Officer

As a Procurement Officer, your primary mission will be to ensure seamless integration between supply chain functions and production operations. You will be pivotal in transforming forecast plans into actionable production schedules, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and minimizing material shortages. Your role will require a strong alignment with the supply chain, purchasing, and production teams to ensure that inventory meets production demands while upholding the company's commitment to quality and efficiency.

You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as a Procurement Officer

• Collaborate with Supply Chain (SC) functions to ensure timely execution of forecast plans into updated production schedules.
• Receive, verify, and update PN/BOMs based on periodic forecasting led by the SC department.
• Process approved orders, verify Demand Class and BOMs, run MRP in Oracle, check stock positions, and ensure demand accuracy before releasing PRs.
• Monitor delivery dates in Oracle and coordinate material deliveries with Customer Service and Production Planning.
• Execute weekly MRP runs to maintain adequate stock levels, including safety stock, and mitigate material shortages.
• Manage inventory transfers within Business Units (BUs) and release inventory PRs to purchasing after verifying stock positions.
• Explore alternative design options using existing inventory in collaboration with sustaining engineering.
• Act as the focal point between Engineering and Purchasing when samples are required before full-scale purchasing.
• Follow up on orders, escalate urgency with purchasing, and maintain delivery schedules.
• Coordinate shipment modes with Customer Service for non-sea freight cases.
• Maintain and update the material shortage report (PMSML) in coordination with Purchasing, Production Planning, and Customer Service.
• Continuously track and report on inventory metrics, including levels against targets, trends, and fast or slow-moving inventory.
• Implement and adhere to Supply Chain policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance.
• Comply with all safety, health, and environmental policies, and participate in incident investigations as needed.
• Contribute to team goals, provide on-the-job training, and guide team members through periods of change.

Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as a Procurement Officer

• 4-6 years in inventory and/or material planning, preferably in ESP manufacturing and service. 
• Prior Supply Chain experience is required, with a preference for experience in Oil and Gas downstream processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proficient in ORACLE Sales Modules and BOM, Routing, Planning, and Inventory Modules.
• Knowledge in ESP products, costing, and ISO standards.
