Your Mission as the Head of Computer and Communication Engineering

The Head of Computer and Communication Engineering will provide strategic leadership to the department, ensuring the development and delivery of innovative and industry-aligned programs. This role requires a visionary leader to advance applied learning, research, and technological excellence. The dean will foster academic innovation, support faculty development, and strengthen partnerships with industry and research institutions to prepare students for the future of computing and communications.

You Will Be Handling These Duties and Responsibilities as the Head of Computer and Communication Engineering

• - Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs in computer and communication engineering.
• - Oversee curriculum development to ensure alignment with emerging industry trends, digital transformation, and applied learning methodologies.
• - Foster faculty excellence by supporting research, professional development, and innovative teaching strategies.
• - Develop strong partnerships with industry leaders, research institutions, and international organizations to enhance academic and career opportunities.
• - Manage the department’s budget, resources, and staffing to ensure operational efficiency.
• - Drive accreditation and quality assurance efforts to maintain high academic standards.
• - Promote interdisciplinary collaboration between engineering, technology, and other academic fields.
• - Represent the university at global conferences, industry events, and academic forums to elevate its reputation.

Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as the Head of Computer and Communication Engineering

• - A Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Communication Engineering, or a related field. (Ph.D. or Master’s degree Degrees can be substituted with robust experience)
• - At least 5 years of leadership experience in academia or industry.
• - Expertise in emerging technologies, digital communications, and applied engineering education.
• - Proven ability to develop strategic partnerships and foster academic-industry collaboration (is a plus).
• - Experience in curriculum development, accreditation processes, and faculty management (is a plus).
• - Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• - A commitment to student success, academic excellence, and technological innovation.
• - Fluency in both English and Arabic.

Additional Information

• Working Days & Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 9 am - 5 pm.
