Your Mission as the Head of Interior Design 

The Head of Interior Design will provide strategic leadership in developing and overseeing high-impact academic programs in the field of interior design and spatial innovation. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive creative excellence, industry collaboration, and applied learning. The dean will ensure that students gain practical experience, aesthetic expertise, and technical proficiency to excel in interior architecture, sustainable design, and emerging trends in the built environment.

You Will Be Handling These Duties and Responsibilities as the Head of Interior Design

• - Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of interior design programs.
• - Ensure curriculum alignment with industry trends, including sustainability, digital design tools, and experiential spaces.
• - Foster faculty excellence by promoting research, professional development, and innovative teaching methods.
• - Establish partnerships with design firms, architecture studios, and industry leaders to enhance student exposure and career opportunities.
• - Oversee budgeting, faculty recruitment, and resource management to maintain operational excellence.
• - Maintain accreditation and quality assurance standards to uphold academic excellence.
• - Promote interdisciplinary collaboration with fields such as architecture, engineering, and technology.
• - Represent the university at design exhibitions, conferences, and academic forums to strengthen its presence in the industry.

Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as the Head of Interior Design

• - A Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. (Ph.D. or Master’s degree Degrees can be substituted with robust experience)
• - At least 5 years of leadership experience in academia or industry.
• - Expertise in interior design theory, digital modeling, sustainability, and user-centered spaces.
• - Proven ability to develop strategic partnerships and foster academic-industry collaboration (is a plus).
• - Experience in curriculum development, accreditation processes, and faculty management (is a plus).
• - Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• - A commitment to student success, design innovation, and applied learning.
• - Fluency in both English and Arabic.

Additional Information

• Working Days & Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 9 am - 5 pm.
