Your Mission as the Head of Architecture and Urban Planning 

The Head of Architecture and Urban Planning will provide strategic leadership in developing and overseeing cutting-edge academic programs in architecture, urban design, and sustainable development. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive innovative design thinking, applied research, and industry collaboration. The dean will ensure that students gain technical expertise, creative problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of urban environments to meet the evolving challenges of modern cities and sustainable planning.

You Will Be Handling These Duties and Responsibilities as the Head of Architecture and Urban Planning

• - Lead the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of programs in architecture and urban planning.
  
• - Ensure curriculum alignment with global trends, including sustainability, smart cities, and digital design technologies.
• - Foster faculty excellence by promoting research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovative teaching methods.
• - Develop strong partnerships with architecture firms, urban planning agencies, and industry leaders to enhance student exposure and career opportunities.
• - Oversee budgeting, faculty recruitment, and resource management to maintain operational excellence.
• - Maintain accreditation and quality assurance standards to uphold academic excellence.
• - Promote design innovation, cultural heritage preservation, and environmental sustainability in architectural and urban planning education.
• - Represent the university at architectural exhibitions, urban planning conferences, and academic forums to strengthen its presence in the field.
  

Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as the Head of Architecture and Urban Planning

• - A Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field. (Ph.D. or Master’s degree Degrees can be substituted with robust experience)
• - At least 5 years of leadership experience in academia or industry.
• - Expertise in architectural design, urban development, digital modeling, and sustainable planning.
• - Proven ability to develop strategic partnerships and foster academic-industry collaboration (is a plus).
• - Experience in curriculum development, accreditation processes, and faculty management (is a plus).
• - Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• - A commitment to student success, design innovation, and applied learning.
• - Fluency in both English and Arabic.

Additional Information

• Working Days & Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 9 am - 5 pm.
  
• Location: Tripoli.
