Your Mission as a Laboratory Specialist

As an  Laboratory Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all laboratory activities adhere to safety protocols and technical procedures. You will play a key role in laboratory operations, equipment calibration, quality control, and compliance with HSE standards, contributing to the efficiency and integrity of oil and gas testing processes.

You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as a Laboratory Specialist

• Perform process and procedural improvements within the laboratory.
• Ensure housekeeping and waste segregation in the lab.
• Oversee calibration of lab equipment as per the scheduled requirements.
• Implement corrective actions based on audit recommendations to maintain compliance with international standards.
• Participate in risk analysis to identify and mitigate potential Quality/HSE issues.
• Maintain an inventory of chemicals, consumables, and critical spare parts.
• Ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are available for all chemicals used.
• Perform analytical testing and ensure results comply with oil production facility and client requirements.
• Follow analysis schedules and proper sampling procedures from designated sample points.
• Conduct daily cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment following operational manuals.

Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as a Laboratory Specialist

• 5+ years of lab analysis experience in Oil & Gas projects.
• Previous experience working in Production Facility Projects.
• Expertise in process equipment and troubleshooting lab equipment.
• Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Teams.
• Strong analytical skills for laboratory testing and result interpretation.
• Good team communication and the ability to collaborate across different levels of the organization.
• Strong networking abilities with HSE, Maintenance, and Operations teams.

• Working Days & Hours: Rotation (6x3) or (4x4)
• Location: South of Sirt / Zintan- Libya
