What You Will Do as a Director of the Technical Department for Renewable Energy

You will lead the technical department and oversee the design, implementation, testing, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of renewable energy projects. You will ensure projects meet approved designs, quality requirements, safety standards, and relevant engineering codes.

You Will Be Handling These Duties and Responsibilities as a Director of the Technical Department for Renewable Energy

• Lead and develop the renewable energy technical department.

• Review and approve engineering designs, studies, calculations, shop drawings, and technical specifications.

• Supervise project execution and ensure compliance with approved designs, quality plans, and safety requirements.

• Oversee testing, commissioning, and project handover.

• Provide technical solutions for project challenges.

• Manage engineers and technical staff and assign responsibilities.

• Prepare technical reports for senior management.

• Support tenders, technical proposals, and engineering studies.

• Evaluate suppliers, contractors, equipment, and materials from a technical perspective.

• Oversee technical training and staff development.

Qualifications & Skills That Will Allow You to Thrive

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Project Management is preferred.

• More than 10 years of relevant experience in solar system design, installation, and commissioning.

• Strong experience managing technical teams and multiple projects.

• Advanced knowledge of PV system design, system sizing, load calculations, and energy-yield studies.

• Strong knowledge of electrical protection, grounding, lightning protection, and international standards such as IEC, NEC, and NFPA.

• Proficiency in PVsyst, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office.

• Strong leadership, planning, decision-making, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Arabic and English.
